September 26

Injuries have been prevalent this year on the cross country team. We have had shin splints, ankle sprains, bursitis, stress fractures and strained quad muscles. The weather has been somewhat cooperative, if one enjoys humidity with their running shoes. Next week's KC Metro race at Ray Pec High School looks to be cooler than in year's past. Our team has the responsibility of giving out the medals for the varsity girls and boys races. The top 100 runners will receive medals in each race. The competition at this meet will be the finest in the Kansas City area. One will get a clear look at what individuals will be vying for state titles. The Max Storms/ Maxsim Korelev battle continues. Will Lee's Summit West Boys dominate again?
